National jelly day is celebrated each year across the world on april 22nd to honor the tasty egg shaped candy available in a variety of colours and favours.

If you place a jelly bean on a shelf at eye height,

and hold out a pen at arm’s length and
try to keep that ballpoint tip dead-center on the jelly bean.
That is effectively what a world / Olympic archer is looking at when they aim at a target.
The targets themselves are a bit like jelly beans – hard and squishy to protect the arrows from damage.
